Other Places where Parish Records may be Found

Cornwall Record Office - This is where most of the orginal Registers are held. Most are made available to the Public on microfilm. Microfiche copies of the Bishop's Transcripts are also available.
Cornish Studies Library - Microfilm copies of most Bishop's Transcripts and Parish Registers are available, along with extensive collections of local newspapers and Census Returns.
Devon Record Office - Where the orginals of the Bishop's Transcripts are held for most Cornwall Parishes. These are available on microfilm for viewing.

Overseas

For Overseas Researchers copies of Parish Registers on Microfilm can be viewed and images downloaded from the Family Search website. Another source available to overseas researchers are the the LDS Family History Centres. Follow this link and scroll down to find a Centre near you. Also visit the OPC home Page and search the database which now has transcripts of most Cornish Parish Records as well as many other types of records that have also been transcribed for Cornwall.

Available for Purchase

Archive CD Books - Phillimore's Marriage Transcripts which covers almost all Cornwall Parishes as well as the Parish Registers for Falmouth, Madron, and Gulval.
Cornish Forefathers Society - A very good source for transcripts of Parish Records, mainly available on CD, although there are still some microfiche supplies left.
Cornwall Family History Society - Has by far the largest collection of transcripts available for purchase and they would still be cheap at twice the price they charge. They also offer a search service on individual surnames which I have used and can highly recommend.
